Glastonbury Festival
is a five-day music festival where various artists are invited to perform for the massive crowd it welcomes. The music festival is going to be held from 26 to 30 June this year. Inspired by the ‘Ethos of Hippies’, it is a huge cultural phenomenon in the UK and every year the festival is performed in Pilton, Somerset, England.

This year for the first time in the history of the Glastonbury Festival, two leading female music artists are going to perform in the 2-headliner slot out of the 3 which has never happened in the history of the Glastonbury Festival.
Glastonbury Festival 2024 Line-Up
Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, and Shania Twain are going to be performing this year at the Worthy Farm in the southwest of England. It’s ‘No Lie’ as Dua Lipa has been confirmed as the lead Headliner this year!
Dua Lipa is one of the two female artists who is going to be performing on the opening night at the Pyramid Stage on Friday. Her appearance was announced a day after the news of her first album in 4 years, “Radical Optimism” set to drop May 3rd.
The Albanian singer will surely perform her iconic songs from the bundle which fans won’t be able to stop themselves from screaming at the top of their lungs. The ‘new rule’ is to tell everyone that the pop queen is soon going to perform for a crowd filled up of 200,000 people.
Viva La Vida!
British Rock Band, Coldplay is once again on the stage as the headliner, this the band is the first ever to headline the Pyramid stage 5 times. Their last performance was in 2016, I know it feels not that long ago but 2016 was 8 years ago!
Shania Twain
The country music star is also all set to headline the Glastonbury festival along with Dua Lipa and Coldplay. The Canadian singer shared with BBC,
“Everyone always talks about it being the pinnacle of festival slots, The only advice everyone gives me is to bring my wellies. I’m doing the hits — the songs that everybody knows and the versions that everybody knows. It’s just going to be a big sing-along party.”- Shania Twain
History of ‘Glasto’
People all around the world come and attend this gala of festivities which not only focuses on music but also comedy, circus, art, and theater. Music artists are offered to be the headliners and perform at the infamous ‘Pyramid Stage’, the first pyramid stage built in 1971 by Bill Harkin.
Popular band ‘Levelers’ performed at the prestigious music festival in 1974 which set a record for the highest number of people present at the Glasto, around 300,000 made it to the festival.
Other artists for this year’s line-up are Boy band Seventeen from Korea going to be the first K-Pop group to ever perform at the British Music Festival.
