disclosed the highest-paid actors of 2023 and fans were quite surprised to see who bagged the Number 1 spot which to their surprise was neither Tom Cruise nor Leonardo Di Caprio. The actors who make it to the list are also considered as the actors trending right now. This year we know who was trending all year, in fact, we have been all over it a couple of times. 2023 was the year of the comeback of cinema mainly because of Oppenheimer and Barbie.

The highest-paid actor is a special place of honor that can not be bought with just a pretty face, the position holds power. Currently, the richest actor in the world is Tyler Perry with a net income of $1 Billion previous actors who topped the list were Tom Cruise, Robert Downey Jr, Tyler Perry, and Dwyane Johnson. The Rock set the record of being the highest-paid actor in Hollywood for three years straight from 2019 to 2021.
This year fans were also shocked after seeing the Forbes list that Adam Sandler is the highest-paid actor of 2023 with a whooping sum of $73 million as his gross income.
Adam Sandler- $73 Million
The comedy actor made three films last year with the biggest streaming platform, Netflix. One of the films, Murder Mystery 2 was Netflix’s most-watched show worldwide with viewership crossing over 173 million hours.
Sandler and Jennifer Aniston starring Murder Mystery sequel did help him score big. Other projects which he produced were The Out-Laws starring Nina Dobrev, Ellen Barkin, and Pierce Brosnan. The actor really broke his mold as an actor with Netflix’s sci-fi film, the Spaceman, which is based on the 2017 novel by Jaroslav Kalfař.
Margot Robbie-$59 Million
Margot Robbie had a fantastic year and it only gets better; The Barbie actress is the youngest star to make it in the top 10 list. Harley Quinn is at the 2nd spot with $ 59 million and she is the only female personality in the top five and one of the second female personalities in the top 10 alongside Jennifer Anniston.
Barbie was a milestone and a turning point in Margot’s career which is not only up for 8 Oscar nominations but is also a member of a 1-billion-dollar club.
Tom Cruise- $45 Million
Tom Cruise also had a profitable year with Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 (2023) which crossed $560 Million worldwide. The next part in the franchise will be released in 2025 which was previously delayed due to ‘Global Restrictions and production challenges’ according to reports. Speaking of franchises, Top Gun: Maverick (2022) is another successful film of action star Tom Cruise which is the highest-grossing film in Cruise’s career and the second-highest-grossing film of 2022. The number 1 spot was taken by Avatar: The Way of Water which grossed over $ 2 Billion.
Ryan Gosling- $43 Million
Ken and Gen. Leslie made it to the top 5 highest paid actors of 2023 and the film Barbie and Oppenheimer has to be credited for their triumph this year. They both shared the position with each other with earnings over $ 40 million.
Matt Damon- $ 43 Million
Matt’s role in Oppenheimer gained him more popularity even though the actor was only paid $ 4 million but his earnings that helped him to make it in the list is because of his movie ‘Air’ starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. The film was produced for $90 million and later on, Amazon bought the rights of the movie for $ 130 million to further distribute it.
